I read the medical journals so you don't have to! These days it can be hard to keep up with research because on average 18 new studies about fibromyalgia are published each week.
Scientists wasted years arguing about whether or not fibromyalgia was real, but we are catching up fast, with more studies published every year. Practicing health care providers are too busy with patient care to seek out new fibromyalgia research studies, let alone read them! Patients may not know where to find new research or struggle to interpret the science. Researchers tend to operate in a narrow scientific niche, and may miss the big picture of what's happening in the body in fibromyalgia.
Here's what you will find in my Fibromyalgia News from Dr. Ginevra email newsletter:
- new scientific discoveries and research updates
- promising innovative and experimental fibromyalgia treatments
- excerpts from personal stories added to the FibroStories Database
- quotes from scientist interviews
- fibromyalgia wisdom from my own experience as both patient and provider
I review each and every fibromyalgia research paper published on pubmed.gov, and pull out the most interesting and enlightening pieces. Acting as an interpreter of sorts, I describe new fibromyalgia research in a way that is useful to patients, providers and scientists. I aim to keep it entertaining and easy to understand, and promise not to bombard your inbox. You can easily unsubscribe at any time. And as a gift to thank you for being on this journey with me, here is a free copy of my ebook The Fibro Food Formula.
